Home Organisation

So you've read my blog, you've read other blogs, you've watched multiple videos and you've looked at a thousand pictures or more... Whether it's decluttering, organising, preparing to move home or living a clutter-free lifestyle, where do you personally begin or how do you stay motivated?

A Helping Hand.
An Accountability Partner.

Following an initial consultation to discuss what you want to achieve and to assess 'problem' areas of your home, I will develop an action plan or home staging report, depending on your needs. Follow-on sessions are then centred around supporting your individual needs and implementation of the action plan/home staging report.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does decluttering & organising take?
Many factors affect the length of time required to declutter and/or organise your home, such as house size, how much stuff you have, your goals and how easy it will be for you to make decisions on what to keep or part with.

What if I am reluctant to declutter certain things?
Decluttering sessions are for you, therefore it is your decision what to work through and what to keep or discard. I am here to assist, not force you to get rid of all your possessions. If you become stuck easily during the process, you may decide to use the 'if it is not a clear keep, then it's a clear discard' method, or it may be best for you to come back to the item/area at a later date.

Can't I just declutter my own home?
Of course you can! My services are for people who become overwhelmed by their possessions or those who struggle with decision fatigue and procrastination. When it comes to decluttering, consider me as an extra pair of hands and an accountability partner, there to keep you on the right track.

How can I be certain I need a Professional Organiser?
If you answer yes to several of the following questions, hiring a professional is likely to be very beneficial for you:

  • Are you unsure where or how to begin?

  • Do you need to learn about organising systems?

  • Do you have a deadline for decluttering/organising completion?

  • Will you need ongoing advice or motivation?

  • Do you want or need the objectivity of a neutral third-party?

I've decluttered & organised in the past, but my home is disorganised again, why?
Unfortunately, decluttering and organising is not a once in a lifetime event. It is something that we have to keep on top of throughout our lives. However, by changing your mindset and habits, as well as reducing the amount of items that come in to your home are the best ways to keep your home from quickly becoming cluttered and disorganised again.

I'm embarrassed by my home, will you judge me?
Rest assured that you will not be judged. I meet a lot of people who struggle with excess possessions and maintaining an organised, 'clean' home. Nobody is perfect and there are even times when I struggle to maintain my own home. Humans are not perfect and we should never strive to be.
